Recipe for solid running D8 above 6000 feet.

This is assuming there are no underlying issues with your sled to begin with. Such as bad voltage regulator, mid range bog, etc. After having many problems with the performance on my 09 D8, this is what I have come to for a solid running set-up.
Clutching:
SLP MTX 68 gram weights no rivets
SLP Green Pink Primary Spring
Team 60-38-.36 Helix
Stock Secondary with 2 Delrin washers
Primary shimmed to .015 with new belt

Riding elevation is between 6500 and 9500 feet.

SLP Single Pipe and Can with SLP air intake

Here is one that actually made a noticeable difference. I switched from the orange exhaust valve spring to the pink. My sled was able to achieve right around 8250 rpms on a climb, and hold them there. My friend has an 08 with essentially the same set-up and experienced the same results. This is the best my problem prone dragon has run since I had it. Maybe it will help a few people out.

Its funny how each person has a little different luck with products. I ran 10-60 Poo weights, 62 Belly Busters and 68 MTX. They are all so close to the same, at least on my Twins anyway. I am not able to get out this weekend, but I am gonna try a new 115 belt and switch from the blue/pink to the green pink. I like a little higher engagement. Once the spring is in, I'm gonna try the bellybusters again.

So where are you guys finding the 60-36-.36 helix at? called SLP and they don't have any and the other catalogs at my dealer don't have any either? So I went with a 60-40-.36 hope it works.

I found this combination to work well for me

My 09 d8 was not pulling the Rpm's it should here is what I did and it absolutely rocked last weekend from 5000-8000'. This is the best it has ever ran since the new update,

This set up is with the Slp Pipe and can.

You need to unplug the resistor that came with the SLP Pipe and just hook up the original EGT wires.

put in 10-60 Weights

Pink exhaust valve springs may have helped slightly (not sure)

I just ran premium pump fuel both ethanol and non ethanol no difference in performance with the wires UNPLUGGED

I ran Lucas Octane boost (not sure if it helped but it did run excellent.

I have the flash that was installed when update kit was put in I would stay away from Jan 11 reflash at this time.

I pulled 8250-8350 at 8000' never missed a beat.

The biggest change was that resistor and the new update kit are not compatibale unplug and you will see amazing changes.

60 weights also were a big help as well...

I hope this helps some of you....
