This is assuming there are no underlying issues with your sled to begin with. Such as bad voltage regulator, mid range bog, etc. After having many problems with the performance on my 09 D8, this is what I have come to for a solid running set-up.
Clutching:
SLP MTX 68 gram weights no rivets
SLP Green Pink Primary Spring
Team 60-38-.36 Helix
Stock Secondary with 2 Delrin washers
Primary shimmed to .015 with new belt
Riding elevation is between 6500 and 9500 feet.
SLP Single Pipe and Can with SLP air intake
Here is one that actually made a noticeable difference. I switched from the orange exhaust valve spring to the pink. My sled was able to achieve right around 8250 rpms on a climb, and hold them there. My friend has an 08 with essentially the same set-up and experienced the same results. This is the best my problem prone dragon has run since I had it. Maybe it will help a few people out.
