Rear wheels came off on Aloha

Have a friend in Mcall right now that was going down the trail when he heard a loud noise like he blew a belt. So he stopped and his rear axle and wheels had came off. He can’t find the bolts but found everything else. It also pulled of 7 track clips. I’m curious if this has happened to anyone else

I’d suspect someone forgot to tighten it back up after adjusting track tension.

Probably the dealer then. I’ve seen one other on Facebook had the same problem.

Have seen it over here after service. Small diameter bolt hold rear wheel. Often to much TQ used. Then axle break during riding.
Service manual chapter "adjust track tension" say 34 ft-lb...but it's not for A1! It's for M/XF. Looking at page for "rear axle A1" it say 24 fl-lb".

Good to know thank you! Still not sure on the root cause. 350 miles on the sled he has never tensioned the track so not sure.

350 miles and he hasn’t tensioned the track is his first issue. Probably needed to tension it several times. After 50-100 miles it will be way too loose.
