Rear Suspension Setback question

I have an 00 MXZ 600 that I have stretched to a 136 with rail extensions, but now I want to set the suspension back for a 144 track. My attack angle is just too drastic, and Just curious if my math is correct here for my measurements.

144 - 136= 8, then 8 divided by 2 = 4, so set back the suspension 4 inches, but how much do i move it down or not at all??

any help is appreciated thanks!!

i used the same math. it is a good starting point. but you may need to use a bigg wheel kit to make up for some slack. i went from a 144 to 153. my set back ended up being 3.5 back and 1 down. and having to use 8 inch wheels. my approach angle in 26 degrees. i think optimal approach angle is 24 degrees.

just move it back 4 inches have done it before with no issues will help alot to get up on snow with the aproach angle if you move it down you will make the aproach angle more but remember that the tunnel is at an angle so will have to figure that angle when youmake the new holes and drop brackets i built my own that i welded on to my stock ones. also wont put more track on ground but helps to really get up on the snow in powdre and climbing
have a great day dan

A couple of years ago I bought a summit and after I found it had been pieced together with parts from many different sleds on of those is a mxz skid extended and I will tell you your suspension set up is a little different. I switched it to a 151 summit skid and it improved my deep powder and climbing.
