I have an 03 edge 800. I am 6'4" and right around 300lbs what I need to know is what I can do to the rear to keep it from sagging. When I step on the sled it bottoms out and when i step off it will not return. I have turned the keys to the firmest setting.. I have a ride FX shock on it and it is all the way firm. What would you guys do its like riding a low rider and it is ruff as hell. TIA Jake

.405 springs will do the trick. Might also be time to have the rear shock rebuilt.

These are hairsprings / torsion springs for use in the MY06-07 Switchback uncoupled rear suspension, also can be used in the Edge RMK or IQ RMK rear suspension.

Softest to Firmest. Always use in matched pairs to prevent racking / twisting of the torque arm and rails. The last 3 digits of the base part number will be stamped on the top, near the end of the long leg of the hairspring.

If it doesn't pop back up at all on its own (with no weight on it), I would also check all the pivot points on the skid for any binding. If they aren't properly greased often enough, the old grease can get like a thick sticky tar that causes binding. Or worse, they can get corrosion inside that causes even worse binding problems. If they get to that state, just adding new grease won't help. In a really bad case the tube inside the pivot can completely lock up and cause the bolt to turn, which will warble out the holes in the rails and make them egg shaped. I bought a skid that was badly bound up from lack of maintenance and I had to do extensive repair work to it before I could use it.
