rear skid up grade

i was looking at the rear skid upgrade that cat offers
has anyone used one of these
its on a 2007 m8

There are several posts running on this topic but the long and the short of it is that it is a good upgrade, it drops weight and helps to transfer weight a little better, but it is a little rougher on the trail then your stock 07 skid is. For the money and the advantages I feel its a worthwhile upgrade.

I would go with a aftermarket before I bought cats, the 07 skid worked just a little heavier, but since then its sub par and needs work($150) to be turned into a good skid. the only good thing is its light.

On my M7, saves 5 lbs. I think it's less on the newer skids...
