Rear Shock Air Pressure

So I wanted to stiffen the rear on my M1100T last night so I lifted the sled by the bumper and put the air pump/gauge thing on. It went to 150psi, which is as high as the gauge went. What's the max pressure you can put in that shock? The front shocks have a 150psi max, so I'm confused as to whether the rear shock is at max pressure already.

I found mine at 150 in the rear to stiff and trenched lots when in the pow pow. Dropped it down to 125 and works great in the deep stuff now.

With 125psi mine was like a ****ing low rider, with 150 in it its still way soft when you get snow building up , And think I will need more than 150 later when snow gets heavy:/ don't really like those fox float at all I guess. I weight about 92kg with gear on

I was riding with 140 psi and I noticed my sled trenched way more than when I was running around 120 psi. I'm going to try and run 130 psi this weekend and see how that works

Sounds like your shock is screwed. Mine had moisture in it and did not work properly.

But i Only have 400km on my , if its moisture in it ,it most have been there from the beginning? It's just a ****ing piece of junk then !, is there any good replacement instead of fox ? Got 400km and the only thing I've been doing is tear the damn snowmobile apart ,injection connection, bad reverse, charge tube loose, bad shocks , loose nuts and lost bolts . At least the damn thing starts up verry good in the cold :)

Learned along time ago having them re-valved is money well spent, especially if you weigh over 200lbs.

Mine would not hold me up at 150, had them revalved now they hold at 125. Sure not my favorite shock but they can be made to get to acceptable levels.

just drill new holes like the geo mod on the old sleds, and move the stop mount

i was at 145psi, now i am at 115psi and it doesnt sag. i weight 200.6 lbs butt naked! so add my gear and i am a fat ***.

make sure you are checking the sag on a flat surface. if you are out on the snow and there is uneven pressure on the skid (more on the rear like on a slight incline) the rear shock will sag way more. Like mine at 125-130 and i have pounds of beer gas and spare belts on my tunnel

im out of my element here but i run 100 in the middle shock and 120 in the rear on stock valved floats and im 240 with no gear. rides awsome but its a (according to you guys) heavy a s s nytro!! lol :bolt:

The rear shock in my sno pro 1100t is junk too. I hate these air shocks. I've found they change pressure from the parking lot to up on the hill. And continue to change throughout the day. Yes I'm checking them the same way each time.

If anyone has a rear coil shock I would be very interested in trading my Float or just buying it.
