Rear flap protectors

Puting screw in studs on my track but i don't have the template to drill the holes in the guard for the protectors. Just wondering if anyone might have one they could fax or email to me or if you might know where to get one. Or even if anyone knew the measurements that would help a lot.

I don't get your question man... What type of studs are you using ?

I'll suggest the following : Use motorcycle Ice racing studs (as pictured) and don't really go longer than 1" of threads because you want the lugs to flex under the load, not rip off. Make sure you screw them straight so it's not "weaker" on one side.

Worked really well on the 121" tracked 503 I had. I put about 60 on. Didn't rip any lugs off and gave me confidence on icy spots.

Those are the kind that i am installing. They came with the machine but in the installation instructions it says i have to use a template to install the protectors on the plastic cover on the track.

if they are the adb screws

DONT use them!!! i had them in my 503 and by the end of the season my track was junk! most of the lugs either fell off or had the screws ripped out and chunks of the lugs missing! never again for me....

BuffaloHawk, you're using woody's sled studs right ?
How do these work ? I always had a problem figuring out how these wouldn't bend under torque. If the track has 1" paddles, that's ok but if it's longer than 1.25" I'd see them bend before tracking...

As for the ice racing studs, I'd suggest not going longer than 1" for the studs. And be really careful when you screw them on to screw them perpendicular to the lug and centered in the lug.

Of course if you don't have the latest design of 136" track (the one with the round sections integrated in the lug, specially designed to have studs screwed on) it'll be hard on your track and the ones you didn't screw straight in will tear off your lug that's for sure.

And don't push too much on "ice drag race" with the studs. Sure is fun to twist the throttle and feel the traction but it's too hard lugs that aren't designed for it, they're too thin. Keep them good for an emergency braking or an emergency uphill "ice" pull where you can't turn around...

Alright enough talked... Enjoy !

yeah im running 2.5 inch or 63.1cm if i did the conversion right for you tlkd.lol! woodys studs with the double backer plates where the studs angle forward 7 or 8 degrees to compensate for flexin the track. no issues with close to 1,000 miles or more, no pull outs or broken studs. a few have a slight bend in them though.i love climbing steep icy chutes in total control and no track spin at all!!! we have a trail called the ice chute in zoar valley....looks like a bobsled run(no joke) glare ice and bermed up on the sides. no issues climbing it! but again im only on a 503 so i really dont have the power to due much damage...
