Rear Axle Boggies

I was just wondering are there any advantages or disadvantages to running 2 wheels over 4 like the cats do. I am considering doing so with my new ice age rails once they are done. They sell the axle to run two 8'' wheels and would like to know if it would be as strong and if it would be a good choice.

2 8" wheels is the way to go IMO some will argue otherwise.

2 BILLET wheels are just as strong. no problems there.

your sled will carve much better and easier

ive heard 1 or 2 hp loss at the track from 2 vs 4 wheels but the argument came to the conclusion that it wouldnt be true mountain riding with good snow. only on a dyno.

the two wheel kits look cool and i may do it also this summer for my summer porject. I dont think there is any performance difference of any kind in any conditions.

Just 2 inside wheels lets the track flex as it spins around the axle. That gives you a easier sidehill feel IMO.
