really high idle

we went riding yesterday on the way back to the truck we stopped and my idle would not come below 4000 rpm.checked the obvious that i could see like cracked boots ,pulled throttle cable ,vacuum lines ect. pulled plugs clutch side is really lean ,i am assuming probly sucking air . how can i check this. i know on a car motor you can use brakleen ,wd-40 or about any thing ,can i do this on a two stroke . i dont want to burn it up .

start the sled, and spray anything that could be a fuel source at the crank seal. Don't need to spray tons of it, just see if the idle changes. My sled did this last season just before the MAG side melted, I later found the MAG crank seal to be trashed.

Pull the clutch and have a look. Check runout of the crank too while you have the clutch off. Hopefully you simply have a seal failure and nothing else.
