Ok, so somehow I managed to lose my gas cap on a ride last weekend .... When I realized it and looked down, I saw "white" in the tank and I hadn't ever seen that before in this tank or for that matter any other tank .... and we were in the bottom of a creek drainage trying to climb out the other side. So, because I was worried about snow/ice in the tank and the fuel line freezing and having to tow the sled out, we opted to cut our day slightly short and at least get back to the trail just in case.
So fast forward to yesterday, I pulled the sled in the garage and put the heater on it to defrost everything and drain the tank ..... but after leaving it defrosting for a few hours, I'm still seeing this white thing.
Am I that daft that this is actually a flapper in the tank to prevent spillage if the sled is upside down?
Dumb question to be sure, but does somebody want to feel sorry for me and give me a sanity check on that here?
