Real Life Example: Airbag vs Beacon

A Husband and Wife were skiing together and both were wearing beacons and airbags. The wife deployed her airbag and survived, the husband was unable to deploy his airbag and was found using his beacon, but died.

Seems like that's a situation where the remote triggers would have been useful. I'll never understand why guides don't require people to adhere to the same protocol that we all do, one person in danger at a time.
