Re-pressing drivers backwards?

I got some wahl bros drivers on my sled that when i added boost they ratcheted like a SOB first ride, needless to say even running the track insane tight now wont keep em from slipping as the teeth are toast.(i can ratchet them on the trail with the track as tight as i can get it....

My question is can i just press the drivers off and reinstall them backwards? seems like it wouldnt be an issue, but I have said that before and regretted it!!

just call Robbie Holman, at Avid products...cut the loss while your ahead :)

He is up in Whitefish, and can hook you up...

seen it done before, but i would recommend avids. had wahl drivers on my rt mod didn't last long at all switched to avids and was fine. have had avids on my nytro turbo for 2300 kms, they are worn but still work. try adding bigger wheels if you run out of track adjustment or check for cracked rails, they shouldn't skip. no drivers stand up skipping.
my friend does have my old whals turned arould on his rev though and its held up for him so far

trust me i would love avids... except they cost about a months worth of sledding for us poor college folk... i laugh when i say that cuz of the sled there for... I plan on getting avids this summer... just making due right now.

they should be alright, i just had them WAY loose when i first installed them and never tightened them that much... I was lazy, now the one side is totally mashed.. so its easy for em to slip.. im not out of adjustment.. there just about as tight as you can reasonably get them with the adjusters...

well, dont let them ratchet much...it causes really bad things to happen...might be cheaper to get some hours at a shop and get the avids than holding off...Just an opinion...

you have met Robbie? he was in my trailer that day up at Canyon...

i have run into him 1 or 2 times.. spoke with him in cooke for the "pump gas thing"

I had it pretty lose before as the old 1000 was running bad, so i could run em super lose, when i added the turbo i think i eneded up pulling 1/2" out of my adjusters.. I was used to stock DOO drivers that can hold up to ratcheting.. i was used to the ratchet then tighten philoshopy.. that dont work good with wahl bros drivers and boost!
