RE: Bought a 2015 SBA!

Hey fellas,

I just sold my 2011 tnt 600 etec, put a down payment on a 2015 SBA 800 with a 2" track and electric start (not a snowcheck model). Super pumped to get this machine home! Already have new skis from my old sled (USI triple threats, love these things!).

So far, my 'to do' list is:
-pro ride defrost bag
-OFT tether
-skinz float plate
-oil tank sleeve
-passo's oil cap vent kit
-RSI pro ride dash panel kit
-mountain addiction track rack kit w/ 3.3 gal jug
-sled solutions backcountry bag
-ice scratchers
-the sled solutions hood strap kit? Not sure if I want to spent 90 bucks on this one yet.

What does everyone think of my list? I keep reading that people like turning up the oil pump 3-4 turns, is this necessary on the 15's?

Kinda torn on ice scratchers; should I get duraflex or the spring style ones from polaris?

I think after warranty (and once my bank account recovers lol), I'll get the skinz running boards and the RK-tek drop in kit for extra power but I'll see how it goes.

Looking forward to this machine, can not wait for snow!

-pro ride defrost bag
Another option may be the Holeshot dash bag it looks nice

-mountain addiction track rack kit w/ 3.3 gal jug

These engines are pretty efficient on fuel hard to burn through a tank in the back country, sure you need the extra fuel and weight?

-sled solutions backcountry bag

You going to mount this with the fuel on your tunnel, careful on weight restriction? Holeshot has a version as well.

-ice scratchers

Doesn't it come with scratchers from factory? I think you will find the cable type don't cool as well, but they do work. Sta-Cool has reversible ones, pretty nice.

-the sled solutions hood strap kit? Not sure if I want to spent 90 bucks on this one yet.

I'v never seen a need for this, factory attachment has worked fine for me.

Enjoy the new sled!

Hmm interesting about the fuel. It may be a better idea to wait and see how it goes then before buying the fuel rack.

I'm getting the pro-ride defrost bag thrown in from my dealer so I may as well use it. As for the backcountry bag, I like having storage for rope and tools back there, the defrost bag I'll keep my phone/gps/gloves/extra goggles, etc.

Thanks for the input!
I'm definitely looking forward to this winter!

Had this sled prior. First thing to do is the running boards and revalve shocks. My came with gripper skis but I would have done those also. I also added the defrost bag, mountain addiction, and Polaris underseat bag.

Spend the cash right away on airframes or B&M boards. You will not regret it. If it does not have gripper skis, get them. The Mountain Addiction bag is great (it is the only waterproof tunnel bag that I know of. You will love the sled. I have a '12 SBA and absolutely love it!!

AIRFRAMES....or any other aftermarket board. The stockers are junk. I had an SBA and it was the best thing I did to that sled.

I'm already planning on doing the airframes, don't you guys worry about that. But, will installing them right off the bat void my warranty?

Shocks I will revalve after the first season, I'd like to just see how they are.

After having both an sba and a pro rmk, boards are by far the best investment

I geared slightly lower than the factory setting and clutched my sba. Also well worth it
What elevation are you running at? Anything under 4k you will want the fuel fur deep powder
Skid plate, grippers

I'm around 1.5k feet elevation wise.
I'm going to run it for a season first to see how I like it, then I'll decide whether or not I need/want to do clutch work.

Running boards are on my list now. I'm not sure if I'll do em this season or not but they will come.
