Re 12v battery setup

OK so I was reading over the post about how to setup a 12v battery under the hood to power your GPS cell phone and so on.

I have been searching hard and i cant seem to find the 10-Cell 12V 1100mAh 2/3A NiMH battery that is listed for the build. The only place i can find it is on the tower hobbies site and since i am in canada it is going to be like 25 for shipping of a 20 product. Anybody out there have any idea of where i could get this in canada

12 Volt battery

It takes 10 rechargeable batteries of any size. the 2/3 are the smallest. You could also use r/c car packs that come in c size from a local hobby shop or even Walmart or Radio shack they will last a lot longer. You will need 10 cells for 12 volts so buy two cheap packs. They will be rated in MAH. 1500 is plenty. You may find tabbed single batteries at the hobby store also. Also buy the diode to keep the pack from discharging. I rigged a spare cigarette plug to mine to make it easy to charge when not in my sled. You could also use a sealed lead acid battery for alarm systems or emergency lighting
