Rave Valve - Installation of Big Retaining Spring

How on earth do you get the big retaining ring to stretch enough to go back over the rubber boot in the RAVE valve assembly? It came off of there and I know that it goes back on but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to stretch it enough to get it back on. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated.

put in vice and use a hooked type tool. Rolll it on

hold one side with fingure then take a ziptie that you hook on seal ring and then side the ziptie around the bellow
