RAVE Assembly Question

I am replacing the RAVE valves on my 07 Summit X and they finally came in and finally found time to do it this weekend. I was going through the diagram and noticed several spaces where the diagram shows oil. What type of oil should I being using on the assembly? I am also curious if the gasket at the base of the assembly is reusable or should I be buying a new set? Not adverse to the spend, just wanted to make sure before I take them apart that I have everything at hand to put it back together. Thanks in advance.

I just use a little pre-mix. It's the same thing that lubricates them during use.

if the base gasket is in good shape should be ok. there is two seals that you should replace when you get the bellow off..two per rave also brp recomends using their drei bond sealant for the bellows but you can use a good auto high temp rtv.x2 on the pre mix.. very light coat then put back together.make sure the springs are in good shape.. both outer ind the bigger inner.good luck t-rev8

Anyone know the part numbers of the seals that t-rev8 is noting? Is there anything else I should have on hand for doing this? With regards to the pre-mix, so just the mineral oil that I use for the sled should be fine? Thanks in advance everyone.

Also, does anyone have scans of the pages from the manual that show the maintenance of the RAVEs? I am ordering the manual but would prefer to not wait until I get it to replace them. Thanks again.

if you go to any of the OEM parts web sites, it will have numbers associated with the chemicals/greases you need and tell you what they are...that stuff cost me almost as much as to upgrade to 09 raves. (which I recommend doing if you are going threw you raves). I just went threw mine a few weeks ago and found my 07 raves had small cracks in them.
