ran out of track adjustment...

ive had 7 tooth drivers on my mod for about 2 years and ran great. no ratcheting during that time however now that the track has stretched it has started ratcheting. i switched to a 2 wheel kit but this has not affected the ratcheting.... anyone have any ideas to pick up more slack or do i have to look into a big wheel kit?

so i pulled apart the hrp kit that was made for an 06 dragon...

does anyone see a problem with me tightening the tensioner until the bolt sits at the far back of the opening? (track is pretty loose will probably have to be pretty close) the axel and the sleeve are both sitting inside the rails and would fit in between it seems...

I had the same thing happen to an older sled of mine. The bolt still had a wee-bit of adjustment left but I ran out of slot like you did. I simply took a dremel tool and ground out an additional 1/16" of slot and it has been working just fine.

thanks a lot for the info guys... if i have too i will grind a slot out like you suggested adrenaline.

i ended up changing all my bearings when i did that track swap and theres maybe 750 miles on the track so those all should be good but i will double check while the sled is in the garage... should have it out rippin up some snow this weekend, hopefully with my heads shaved and some race gas :D

you could look at going with a 9in wheel to suck up the slack

you could get two wheels for around $100 from wps
