Has anyone had any experince towing with this new 6.4L motor from Ram in the new 2014's 3/4 tons. Im interested in your thoughts. Thinking about jumping from G.M.

If it makes the 429 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 rpm I'm interested :)

I have not towed with one but I have driven one and they are stout. Kinda wish they would put one in a 1/2 ton.

The 5.7 / 6.1 were dogs maybe they got it right this time? Will they put it into non "commercial" applications?

Dogs? The only trucks my 2012 hemi ram won't walk away from are the new GM and Ford 6.2's. And they are about dead even with me.

They are on the lots now and are a optional gas motor and the reviews have been for more mpg than the 5.7 hemi utilizing a cylinder deactivation technology.

The 5.7 has had the same cylinder deactivation essentially since 06. It's gotten better as the tech has been refined. On the dash it will light up a little "eco" light when its in use. Its pretty slick. I can tell sometimes when it kicks in and out but for the most part its silky smooth. I frequent a few dodge forums as well and most will tell you that a lower gear ratio actually works in your favor on these trucks as it allows the engine to be in eco mood more often.
