They use large snowblowers here to clear our residential streets, I've never seen the train snowblowers though I'm sure they have them around here.
Anyone else here have the big snowblowers for snowclearing in their town?

Have you ever seen what happens to a moose roadkill when one of those big truck mounted snow blowers hits it? I have and its not pretty.

That residential snowblower, I'd hate to be on the side of the street he's blowing snow to... expecially if I just shoveled my walk/driveway. Shoot the other day my wife was parked downtown and a store owner used a small snow sweeper/blower... covered her car in 3" of hardpack.. took me 15min just to uncover the car enough my hand to use a brush.

Up in the Keweenaw they use blowers mounted on to big loaders and blow it into the back of dump trucks. Doesn't take much time at all to fill a big dump full of dense snow.

Some friends had their bedroom window blown out this morning. Few seconds and 3' of snow in their bedroom. Happens from time to time.Theyre pretty good though, they run a grader up and down the street piling it into the middle then blow it onto the yards. Probably the best system I've seen. The snowclearing here is excellent.
