Rail Reinforcement 07 800r?

you can put the doo reinforcement on there. it has a nice shape to it to give your rails extra strength. I have one on my 151. A couple weeks ago, I landed so hard on the rear idlers, I fubar'd them up so bad the bearings came out of the wheel and bent all up. My rails were still perfect though.

Also, you can try to get some 1/8" * 1" aluminum flat stock and make a sandwich on the weak part of the rails. You could also use steel, depending how much damage you plan on doing.

I was going to make my own, but after studying the ski-doo ones, I decided on them. I really like how they are built, and cover the rib going down the length of the rail. I think this gives more strenth in verticle as well as lateral bending. and for the $47 or so, it was worth it to not have to build my own.

Are you sure the slight bend isnt the bend thats supposed to be there from the factory? Show us some pics.

good luck

Joe

I thought he was talking about the skid rails...but I think you may be right.

There are tons of options out there for this. Snow eliminators, Doo running board reinforcement (probably not as good as the SE's, Arctic cat board edges...on and on...

Just do a search for running board, or stiffener, and see what you come up with.

I thought he was talking about his skid rails too... I think I'm gonna go with the Ski-doo ones as well. For the skid that is. Already did the Ski-doo board reinforcements and they're bomber now.
