rail extensions to run a 137 track on 121 rails

I read that people used some arctic extensions or something to run a 136 snowhawk track but i got a deal on a 137 just wondering if anyone has made it work ? dont really want to spend the $$ on new rails

I believe WPS makes rail extensions that would work for you. According to post #4 in this thread, the WPS part number is 44-1503. There's a good discussion there about what you're doing.

Let us know how it works. You're doing an upgrade that I've thought about doing, but finding a 137" Hawk track isn't easy.

Worked great.

There was at least five of us that ran the extensions for a couple of seasons on different MH kits.
Most used cut down sled tracks, I used a 136" Snow Hawk track. All worked well with out any trouble.
There was enough adjustment remaining a 137 should be no issue.

We did use the WPS 1503 extensions. They are a easy drill and bolt up, to the early (11 & 12) kits before the "in house" rails were used on newer kits.
I was going to cut down my Hawk track and install on my '13 SX. I had two options in doing so. Cut the pointy end off the rear of the new rail or machine a recess in the extension. So not as easy as it once was but still doable.

Hawk tracks are difficult to get used. I do have a 136 with extensions for sale in the MH classifieds, if anyone is interested.

p.s. The Hawk track worked and handled better than any of the cut down snowmobile tracks we tried.
