what mount is everybody using to mount the garmin 530hxc to their bars and are you using a lanyard also?

RAM Mounts. They make mounts that are specific to most GPS units.

RAM. I don't use a tether because I try to keep it just tight enough to stay rigid but loose enough to move if I bump into it.

RAM for sure...I do use the tether. Ive lost to many things not to...
