Radiator Cooling Mod.?

Has anyone with a Polaris IQ front radiator set up removed the access panel above, drilled holes in it, or replaced with 06 Fusion panel that includes air flow scoop? I'm thinking it would really help cool things down all around with more airflow or would that put too much heat from exhaust down towards radiator?

Unless you change the hose routing... the radiator does little for cooling unless
1) You are operating at 45mph or above
2)At these High speeds your front grille has no snow in it
3) You are not operating in deep snow
4) You re-route the hoses to run the radiator in Series with the rear cooler rather than parallel.

It has been proven time and again that removing the radiator acually helps the cooling of the RMKS.

Scratchers are a must as is Red line "water wetter" and servicing the coolant/thermostat every 2 yrs... IMO.

I run a good deal more on the trails than most guys on here probably so I plan on keeping the radiator stock. I have added scratchers and redline already. My sled has 1800 miles on it so I'm gonna hold off on the thermostat for now and put that money towards a new throttle body adaptor which wasn't very good quality in 07 so I don't get a burn down.
My question still stands.....What would it hurt to get additional airflow thru radiator access panel to motor if I have mesh built in to keep snow out?

I have an 07 600 CFI Switchback.....I wasn't referring to the throttle body boots-haven't heard alot about those breaking down (although they still should be checked)....There was a lengthy thread on HCS etc. regarding IQ's throttle body adaptor rubber breaking down and cracking etc. Polaris has since updated part quality and changed the part #1203864
