I want to race Jackson, is this invite only as I have heard? Does anybody know how this works? Thanks.

Register with RMSHA, win some races, there are qualifier races that will automatically qualify you for jackson. Then you can race jackson! Short of that become the next chris burandt and get invited that way! Good luck!
qualify with RMSHA or be a past or current quality racer (eg Chris B., Kirk Hibbert, past champs from RMSHA, MSSHA, WSA, or BFA, or back East big name racer) or
Sign up for the local's race... there are two groups... one is for over 40 and the other one is for under 40... last time I was at Jackson (2006) there were over 60+ of these types of racers with only the top five advance to the whole hill. There are no rules for the sled other than safety equipment.
To qualify you have to have your application accepted, pay $$$, and then be very quick on the lower half of the hill (to the 1st cat walk)... same run that the pros qualify on in stock, semi pro, womens, and improved.
Check with the club that runs the race in Jackson... really nice folks... Heidi used to be the contact but not sure if that is still correct.... others chime in if this is no longer the case. Good luck!
