Racers Edge skid, what front shock?

two guys i know of running RE skids, 1 in apex, other in nytro are runnin stockers for front track shock. for now.

Will be picking up a compele 174 skid for my apex from Darrel next Wednesday , all i know is that he uses a air shock on the front and that he went to a new shock on the rear this year , has high/low select rebound and compression , also made changes to the iceage rails , beefed them up.Hope it works good

Fox float or stock. Either one will be fine. Once a good setting is established then your good to go. I see way to many guys trying low air pressure on the front shock and with a coupled skid it makes no sense. When the skid couples and one shock gives up....well you know the rest.

Thanks, i'll run the stocker for now, as i'm tired of spending.

What shock is Baker using this year - anyone that has a picture of this skidupgrade? This upgrade sounds very tempting from the feedback it got last winter

well heres a few 174 yammy iceage rails....Also Bakers limiter strap assy...not sure if there is a upgrade shock to this one...got it this summer..

Shawn were your rails cut like that from Iceage - or are they grinded to fit the RE rear setup? It looks AWSOME in black

I need an e-mail address to Ice age to see if they can make rails like that in 162". Their contact link doesn't work on the webpage.

Or any one that has some stock apex 162" rails they want to sell cheap?

Yup that shock is obsolete....to bad you didnt wait...you should see the new one

That shock is not obsolete. The new one gives you more adjustment if you like to ride the trail all day, but once the old shock is set to how you want it its just fine.The new shock has remote adjustable resevoir and more pre-load, but like I said unless you are over 200lbs or trail ride all day there is no need to uprgrade.

They are actually a iceage yamaha rail...they don't have them on the website from what I seen...I ordered a set of 162's the same as my 174's so I can get you iceages part number....no machining for the brackets..
