race gas question

I have a 5 gallon of race fuel that is unopened. It has been in my storage unit for a year and a half. Is it still good?

It will still burn in your motor, and since it is factory sealed, you are better off than if not. However, I would definitely assume that some octane degradation has occurred. Maybe someone on here has a formula, or timeline chart for that, but I would err on the side of caution, and expect it to be lower than higher.

If sealed and left in a cool area I would say your good to go.I had 2 cans of race fuel for 2 years and mixed 50-50 like normal with no issue.:yo:

What type of race fuel? If it's only 5 gallons perhaps it's just something you feed to the snow blower or lawn mower in the spring.

Consistency

Consistent Temperature is the key. If its stored in a climate controlled area, I would use it for sure. If there is the possibility that there were huge temperature swings during it's storage, I personally would use it in something besides my sled.
