How is the snow on Rabbit Ears / Steamboat and Buff Pass. Looking to travel 10hrs to find something good to ride.

Lots of stump and boulders down south. I would protect my investment and stick to rabbit ears. Not to mention its the birthplace of the hopover turns. I know I ride better when I'm at the ears:face-icon-small-sho

Why is it that Buff & Ears get all the attention when there is better riding on Lost Dog, Farrwell, Diamond Park, Sand Mountain? (just north of steamboat on cr129)

Is this in the Clark, Hahnas peak area. Always wanted to try it but never have.

Yes this is the Clark area, if you go about a mile past the Clark store is rcr 64 just past Glen Eden take that for about 5 miles to hinnman parking lot and ride from there, lot less people and parking isn't a issue.

Yes same spot not sure about cr60 though. I'm pretty sure it's cr64 although it is called seed house rode. Can't miss the parking lot to ride from. This is the best starting point if you aren't staying at Steamboat Lake(Hahns Peak) you are just accessing from the other side ie.. Shorter ride to lost dog, diamond park, with lots of fun along the way!

Stop drawing attention to that area. Geezuz!:face-icon-small-dis

People like RE/Buff because it's relatively easy to get to from the chitty , the snow is historically deeper and they don't have to drive thru that crowded town with dinky streets. And if you know where to go, RE/Buff has insane riding. Not to knock the Steamboat Lake area, that is my favorite.

Just got back from riding buff on thur, fri, and sat. The riding was awesome to say the least. Thursday was handlebar deep, friday it settled down a little but still cloudy and lingering snow made for tougher conditions to see. Saturday was probably one of the best days of riding I have ever had. Snow was headlight deep and sunshine the whole day.

Snow is far from thin on buff pass.

LOL. Sure will. I love that area. I love going straight back into Hog Park and playing. Just a kick in the butt, specially if the snow is deep
