Just to save ya'll a trip. RE Pass is going on the third day of being closed!

Wind, blowing snow and big drifts. The parking lots are drifted shut. One lane west bound to be opened by noon. No one to be allowed to park on the pass until cleared.
Might be able access the east side of buff/RE out of Grizzly Creek.

Glad I decided to ride local:) That road to Grizz creek is probably drifted 10 feet deep too.

at rabbit ears right now on palm treo phone. - feb,9,08

Made it up here yesterday about 3 pm from Montana, the pass was closed but they let us up anyways. They figured we were pretty determined. Unbelievable gusts of wind not very good visiblity but drinking ain't to bad. I think all the snow plow drivers think were nuts. Powder is 3 to 4 feet deep, with some hard blown areas. They just plowed the main parking lot.

CDOT showing RE open? Apparently so. Walden to 40 is closed. Cameron open. Think I'll go see if the new piston works.

Rode the Ears Sunday!!!

The Snow was AMAZING!!! we rode the North side of the road towards the shed hill and no kidding it was 4 to 5 feet deep back there! and the wind had blown it completely flat it was awesome!!! It was so deep the ol' M1000 could barely make it to the bottom of the hill full throttle let alone climb it! Then things went WAY BAD! the M grenaded the motor ending our day and starting a very long trip to the truck! oh well that is what warranties are for!
