Rabbit Ears Parking

Just curious about the new parking lot I've seen some people riding at rabbit ears on Facebook. Is the new parking lot open and is it a pay lot and if so how much is it costing? How nice is it?

Here are the new lots and layouts. If people park like they should it will work great, but if someone parks like a tool it will jack up the traffic flow. CSP does not want anyone parking on hwy 40 or the roads into the lots (including muddy creek). They claim they will issue tickets as they see it as a public safety issue. CDOT is going to plow the lots but keeping Hwy 40 is priority. CDOT plans to clean the lots entirely tues, wed, thurs as the weather allows.

ALSO: Plowing Schedule

While they're going to attempt to plow the lots after each storm and when necessary, CDOT is planning on doing a weekly cleanup according to this schedule. Please help them out by not parking on these days:

Dumont: all parking is a go. They're going to do a complete plowing/cleanup every Tuesday and are asking folks not to park that day.

Old Muddy Creek: day use and overnight parking is a go now. They're going to do a complete cleanup on Wednesdays and asking folks not to park on that day

New Muddy Creek: day use parking will start in a week (tentative). They're going to do a complete clean out on Thursdays and asking people not to park there on that day.

Not sure if this is a possibility or not -

Can signs be posted telling everyone which days that they want to do the maintenance? I think that would help a bunch - in addition to posts like the above to get the word out.
