Rabbit ears or mesa??

Headed out from iowa tonight and are debating on heading to the mesa or rabbit ears and wondering what the conditions are like?? Also recommendations on where to stay. Have rode in the snowies or togwotte in the past. Three of us headed out on summits, looking to do more back country riding than hill climbs but a good mix of both would be great. TIA!

Grand Mesa Lodge is by far the best if you don.t mind cooking your own meals. Single cabins depending on size of your group. They have fuel (unleaded prem), ride straight from cabin, small store for supplies if you forget something. Mike and Rose are the best host's. We have stayed here for years.

MESA hands down.

Rabbit ears has much more diverse riding, and more place to stay. Try Hans peak area steamboat lake lodge
