Rabbit Ears Friday Jan 8th

Looking to ride on Friday if anyone is interested in joining come on up, I'll probably be with a newbe so it will be a learning day. Muddy Creek lot. Maybe start around 9ish and leave around 2 pm. Looks like the snow is getting close to being safe to ride.... :D

My original "newbee" partner just bailed on me he decided to ride some rock field near his house :confused:, so I'm solo at this point any takers give me a call 719 599 5480. Friday spose to be sunny.....

Greg

Thanks for the calls and invites guys had a great day started a little rocky but ended great even though it was -30 when we woke up friday morning, -10 during the day....

Good fun guys. Lots more area to explore. Will someone please make it snow again? Greg, my ride yesterday changed my outlook on turbos:) Not for everyone, but I see now what I would want one for.

Yep, turbos are addictive but they have to be bolted on a 4 stroke to reduce the "wrenchin" time... Good riding with ya Matt you're a top notch rider maybe we'll come down south sometime and you can show us around....

Quick clarification.... Greg and I were talking about his nephew wanting a turbo and agreed there was no sense in that. Sunday I rode with a group all on TM8's and it was an awesome ride. I finally got to see the benefits of a turbo in the riding conditions that I prefer and now I want one!

Ahhh, that makes sense. Can't see Greg wanting a turbo...well, maybe on those deeep days. lol

Great Matt just what you need..... Like I said they are addictive, I won't soon forget the time I rode DJ's turbo Nytro, wow what a sweet ride.. Too rich for me though no turbo in my future... :D Is there snow in the forecast????? Hope to be up there again on Friday...

I could learn to love a turbo! I used to tell myself that I didn't want one because I would start climbing big stuff. But........ I don't think it would "force" me into climbing monster chutes; I mean, I couldn't stand to wad up my $led let alone a $20,000+ one. I'm glad you found somebody to ride with Matt. Gregs a good tree hound:D

how fun was that one you guys were towing out :eek: ;)

They sure are fun when they are running but for me not until they get a little more reliable. I would much rather spend 60 days on the hill riding then 30 riding and 30 wrenching.

:beer;

When are you getting one? :D

As far as turbo reliability, on my PG kit i have 1700 miles on it and it has been awesome. It runs strong and consistent. The race gas kits are similar in runability once tuned. You will never look back once you do it! :D:beer;

The turbo sled that was being towed out was on Saturday. It was a polaris.(chaincase issues) The TM8's Sunday were all setup by VOHK and all ran flawlessly. I won't be getting one soon enough!

Ike, I don't want one to climb 'big' hills or to have the fastest sled. I want one for technical tree riding. It opens up a whole new level of riding. I was curious how they handled this type of riding and what I know now is just how amazing they can be. It's really something that a person in question needs to see in person to believe.

I like the way you think :beer; Dave(skibreeze) rides a TD8 and when its running it rips!

I have 1200 miles on a pg8 zero problems i dont know who is haveing reliability
problems but sure glad Eric built mine.Ok one problem lost two belts so far running over 8.5 lbs

Yep Matt officially has Turbo Envy.........All I have heard about since he got back from riding with eric :D Thats why I havent rode one yet, Pretty sure if I did I would want one too....Unfortunatly my budget dont support the cost:( If I didnt have so many little mouths to feed I would definatly consider parting with the coin to have one. They definatly have benefits above and beyond just being able to climb straight up. In the hands of riders like Matt the trees have no chance:D For me Ill be stickin to my semi-stocker till my stimuls package from Obama gets here:rolleyes:
