Quit Chewing? 25 years of Kodiak

Know the feeling, workin on it myself. I did very good for 4-5 weeks with Nic gum. Went the whole time with nothing but the gum. Got to where i was only using one, maybe two pieces of gum a day. Then fell off the wagon when harvest started. Ive switched to pouches and cut way down.

Hate chewing, but man i love it. :noidea:

How I feel de-toxing from Xmas cookies. Like your pic tough it out for the princess!

Hang in there, you can do it. I quit about 18 years ago after chewing for over 15 years. I just told myself one day that when that can of Copenhagen was empty I was done. (Too cheap to throw any away) I have not had a chew since that day. I did chew lots of gum when I first quit and that helped. Good Luck!

Just think....

"25 years ago I quit chew" as your slappin a grandson ..it'll help honest

HANG ON .... well worth it I had chewed Copenhagen for 20 plus years and have quit for almost 4 years anniversary date is Easter sunday...it is tough and I still have the craving but just pick up a few packs of gum and sunflower seeds to get me by... Anyway GOOD LUCK it can be done!

You quit chewing and are having to deal with "no snow" withdrawals, in the same winter? You are a gluten for punishment. Hang in there! Sniff some race gas fumes to crutch up your duel cravings.

Hey man we are trying to ween him from his addiction not find him a new one :face-icon-small-hap

But to you Dave just gotta do it. NOTHING positive comes from chewing. If worst comes to very worst and you absolutely need something go for the nicotine gum to get you through the moment of weakness. No one said it would ever be easy, but man is it worth it when you think of the money and the extra time you have bought yourself on this earth!

I chewed for over twenty years, quit once for a year...failed.
My buddy convinced me to try vaping, not that **** you buy at the gas station, the type with a tank. I have never looked back, and never had a craving for a pinch of Grizzly. I didn't quit really as much as I switched brands. Part of the reason I have not tried to quit vaping is I haven't had a sinus infection since I started (2 years ago), used to have multiple prescriptions of antibiotics every year. The PG juice is also in asthma inhalers and Fireball whiskey lol. My wife was not a real big fan at first, but she doesn't miss the spitters and lump of chew in my lip all day.

31 days...still no snow and no chew. Still on edge. I had to chew out my crew (no pun intended) a couple of times. That was interesting.

The skin crawling was an interesting phenomenon...

Not sure what vaping is...don't need any more bad habits. Sledding and spending money is bad enough..

I have been using resus peanut butter cups, probably gained at least 10lbs already...the sugar need has went off the chart during this for some reason.

Well....I've had a relapse. I made it 2 months and wanted just a taste...I'll have to start over.

Dam you!!

X2 As you well know, you can't embrace a moment of weakness. Be strong, "Will Power" thru those times of cravings and weakness. You will be a better man and live to enjoy the fruits of your life, because of it. You have many friends (both online here and in the real world) that are more than willing to lend a hand in those moments, don't be afraid to reach out for a hand / shoulder when those moments come around.

Hang in there! We are pulling for your success!

Thanks man. I will get it back...it's the only way the bride will allow a Axys snowcheck.

Dealing with unruly children at work and stopping for fuel afterwards and going in to grab a beef stick for the ride home...saw the can's, d@mn it...

Was my demise.

I ran out of resus peanut butter cups.
