lol mapquest. we went to jackson at the endo of last month and everything was open just not yellowstone park.
so you might have to turn left at moran junction to hoback junction, then right to alpine, then right to idaho falls then a big right up 20 to island park. just a thought. i have no clue, hope your going sledding i think were about done for the season unless we get another big storm.

1) Easiest route, especially if you are pulling a trailer is up 25 - 90 - 94 to Bozeman, drop down thru West Yellowstone and into Island Park. Looks a lot longer on a map but the majority is interstate and you can keep your speed up. Yellowstone Park is closed.

2) You can go thru Jackson, maybe shorter but takes more time the pass if the pass is closed to trailer traffic. Teton Pass out of Jackson (to Victor, ID) is open to trailers IF the roads are dry but it's quick to close to trailers if there is any sign of snow. That means south to Alpine - Idaho Falls which tacks on a couple of extra hours.

It's kind of a toss and probably depends on what you are driving and if you are pulling a trailer. IF the pass is open to trailers AND you are equipped to haul one over the pass then that way is shorter.

The fastest way is head through Riverton, Dubois, up past Togwotee, left at Moran {Yellowstone is closed} and loop down through Jackson, then take #22, out if Jackson onto #33, then take #32 up to Ashton. Turn right on to #20 and in a 1/2 hour your there.

I think it is faster go to all the way in the interstate to Bozeman, then go down to West Yellowstone, then down to IP. That is just me...I don't like driving on two lane roads.

Ended up going through Riverton, Dubois, jackson....

WOW!!! Now that is A LOT of freaking snow!!!!! What a grande decision to leave the sled at home, next time I will know to find a way to make it work.

Went through Yellowstone and into Bozeman for the trip home. What a scenic trip that is, wore out 2 sets of batteries in the camera.
