Just got my -13 pro rmk and I noticed they did not plug/remove the hole under the beltdrive, Is it supposed to be a hole there for water to drain or is it a good idea to close this hole? There is alot of snow and ice buildup around the beltdrive. Anyone tested quikdrive belt temperature? My was 70 celsius after some climbing...is this normal?
Thanks

The hole is from the drain hole for a chaincase and should be covered IMO. I went with the VE QD Belt Skid Plate that has stopped most of the snow intrusion & covered/protected the bottom of the QD belt/ bottom.

70 C = 158 F is not too hot. 185 F is the max temp.

Some venting would only help to keep the temps down on the QD belt.

Here is the link to the QD belt temp testing thread.
