Quick question - 800R idle?

What does your 07 idle at? Just rode it today for the first time and it's idling over 2-2200rpm once warmed up...seems a tad high to me, but??

I am having the opposite problem. When its cold the idle is great. When warmed up it idles so low the tach wont register.... Wanted what that means.

We also have an 800R the idle is a tad high too, also when you ride then stop it takes a bit for the idle to come down not sure what is going on, has lots of power though so maybe that's normal not sure....

Mine idled high at first then after the first ride I turned it down to 1800

My 07 800 idles high when it's warm and when I shut it off it backfires loud and scares people. When i start it back up it idles fine. I'm no sure what the problem is.

I think alot of them backfire like that, mine does it once in a while as well. Idle speed while upright and warmed up is about 1800, upside down it goes to 0 after 30 seconds or so!! Sherm

X2, mine does the same thing!
