quick fix to stiffen forks?

Look in your manuals and raise oil level to max height .Do not over fill or your seals will fail.Next would be to go to heavier fork springs.

In the outer chamber put about 450ml of oil. Quick and easy. No special tools needed. Oil weight has absolutely no bearing on these forks as they are twin Chambers and the outer chamber is not damped.

Buy a cheap set of open chamber forks from an older ktm, and have them set up snow specific. Then your nice 450sxf will still work in the dirt. EBAY forks for about 300$ tops. bOlt right on.

450 ml oil that is a pound of oil each side -- now you need to invest in a lightweight battery to make up for the weight gain.:face-icon-small-hap

I would start with the compression dampening all the way in back 2 out just to be nice. if that is not enough raise the oil level but really at that point springs should be on order.

Agree. Think of it as fine vs coarse adjustment.

If the stock amount of oil to have in there is about 360ml, your worried about the weight of 100ml of oil difference? Seriously?

oil weight does not matter use 5wt in all of them. you can raise the oil level but I have found that if your going to be messing around with the oil level save your self the time and hassle of guessing and experimenting. Just get heavier springs!
