Whats better, Aluma brand or Triton?
Iam in the market for a 2 place aluminium trailer and I want a salt shield.
Most use trailers are beat up and are going for 1-2K.
I can get a Aluma brand for $2480 OTD. New with 5 yr warranty, spare, and upgraded jack.

Here are pics and specs on the Aluma Brand:

I bought one wish I had bought a triton.with the ramps it really feels like there're is a sail behind u

Call Dan Johnson at jet chevrolet, he is a dealer for triton. He may be able to find something comparable?

I towed a trailer like the Aluma brand with the same style salt shields/front ramps and didn't notice a sail effect..I did notice it keeps most spray off the bike. I was driving a double cab Tacoma.

I don't want a flat deck with no front shield or ramps.
I want to be able to drive off forward and protect the bikes.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks, Ryan

NOT RANKING ON ALUMA BUT------

Not just because we are a triton dealer (13 years) but Triton is a better trailer, They are a little more money which is a concern I'm sure, Tritons are little stronger , a little better quality aluminum, Life time limited warranty plywood deck and just a great trailer, In 5 years you'll see the difference. Tritons warranty is only 2 years but I can tell you for a fact in 13 years selling hundreds and hundreds of tritons, we have NEVER had an aluminum failer of any type. they are the best hands down, I know, I'm talking like I'm the dealer selling them, well I am, but I have sold about every kind of trailer out there over the last 30 years. just my opinion, either way they are way better than any steel trailer you can get,

Sent ya a PM and also left you a message at the office, Thanks for the help guys!

Which is better? I can’t answer that one. But I have the exact Aluma in the ad and it’s been an excellent trailer. Quality and the torsion axle are what sold me on it (and I wanted a drive on/off Non tiltOmatic). Tracks straight and true without bouncing around. I keep it outside and have had it for 3 years now and it still looks new

Aluma or Triton Trailer

I just purchased a 8616 Aluma (16ft) this August after owning a 12ft Aluma with salt shields for 3 years. I think the trailer is the bomb. I actually got most of my money back when I sold the 12ft because like previous poster it looked brand new after 3 years use.

I looked at the Triton. It looks nice and is comparable for options but my issue was ramp was NOT as durable and cost which was more. Enough to deck your trailer with grip glides at least.

Hope that helps

I have had a 2 place Triton and currently have a 4-place Aluma... Both are OUTSTANDING trailers that are very well made. With that being said, I love the build quality of my Aluma... It's built STOUT and it shows just looking at it. I do prefer the front ramps on the Triton, even the Aluma ramps are actually larger and better made. Either way I don't think you can go wrong.

I prefer the triton because of the angle and size of the ramp I've towed both and it just seems like the triton is lighter but I do have to say the aluma is well built with stainless hardware

The Triton looks like a very nice trailer. I have the same aluma (bought from Dirk at Oly) sitting next to my garage right now. It belongs to a friend, he really likes it. I'm sure you would be happy with either one.
