questions about extending a track

a freind of mine has a 2001 mountain viper they guy before him put a 129 x2inch paddle on it he was wondering what it would take to extend it to a 136? what would the undercarage and track cost if we could find a good used one? thanks for your imput

Probably just rail extensions. Should be able to find a 136 track pretty cheap. Check the swapmeet.

The mountain viper didn't come out till 2003 and it had at least a 141 track on it . They came with a 144 but not too sure what year that started on.

ya i know i screwed up on the name it is a 2001 sx viper and they guy that had it before him put the paddle track on it but it is only a 129 sorry for the mis info

sxviper came out in 2002, and ive never even heard of a 129", you mean 128"? sxviper mtn had a 144"

ok so if we did the wrenchen ourselves on average what do you think i could pick up a undercarage and track for? woould i have to have extend the tail out do you supose?
