Questions about 2004 MXZ X 440

I'm going to look at a 2004 MXZ X 440 tonight for the wife. Don't know much about them, could use some info on what to watch out for. It's been trail converted, has 1700 km, never been raced (so he says). Are these good trail sleds or are they a pain in the ### to set up and keep running. Any info would be great, Thanks.

I dont know about an 04 I had a 2000 that was a monster would take anything I could throw at it I weigh 300 pounds so I geared it down it was raced before me. hit culvert and bent the tunnel and still rode it for 3 years wish I had it back
I never worked on it once never just gas and go but it was extremely light you had to know how to ride I tipped it over all the time

The 440 can be a little hard to jet for conditions but when setup it is fun to ride. It might be pretty stiff for the wife unless your wife rips, but then you could rip around on it. When you look at it check for: make sure the shocks are centered in the A-arm, check behind the clutch and can for wrinkles, check if the A-arms wiggle around a bit (means bushing are bad), if it has motor problems it is no big deal because you can buy a complete motor for $400.
Any more questions give me PM

So I checked it out, not very good.Track was shot, clutches were pretty worn, chain way loose, oil everywhere. Thanks for the reply's. Off to find something else. Anyone have a good chick sled in North central Alberta for sale in the $5k range?
