Questions: '08 M8 skid into an '05 M7

Got a used '08 162" M8 float skid I'm putting in an '05 M7. Looks to me like the '08 skids did away with the Idler Pivot Arm and the upper idler wheels bolt directly to the drop bracket. Is this correct? I assume the '08 arms must be a little longer. Also where do folks mount their ice scratchers on the '08 rails?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, the upper shaft on the '08 skid bolts right to the drop brackets. Not sure on the length of the rear geometry but is logical that it is longer to make up for not having the torque sensing links.

Here's where I mounted the scratchers without removing anything or drilling any holes SKCM (SaberKitty Clamp Method) :)
