Question with airframe boards

Im aware of the awesome ability these boards have off keeping snow off the boards, just wondering how are they on trail? I ride 50/50 and am wondering if they allow alot of snow and ice to come up through the boards while trail riding?
Opinions welcome.

no it is a non issue. i've had to ride plenty of miles of trail since putting on my airframes and have never noticed this as an issue.

I find the traction screws a bit annoying on the trail. On the hill it's all good. My Klim boot's soles are hatin' life though.

They are the best option for all riding conditions I haven't noticed any problem with the boots because you don't kick boards any more from my experience I hope the 2013 stock boards are as good as my air frames

agree with above about boots not eating my boots b/c i no longer kick. ever.

i don't think the 13 boards will be quite as good as the airframes. the 13s are square and raw aluminum.

1st upgrade that should be done on any sled, In our group that I ride in there is not one bad comment from anyone about them.

A couple of our rides this year required us to ride about 10 miles of trail each way to get to our play area. I never experienced any snow or ice coming up through the boards and I was watching. Now water crossing is a different story, you will get wet crossing creeks. LOL

don't you have a sba? they don't make anything for those sleds yet. my stock rmk boards let plenty of snow u thru them, especially with scratchers down. i see the airframes being worse.

I was worried about that as well but it hasn't been as issue at all. I wouldn't think twice about adding them. One of the best mods I've done!

Thanks guys, im seriously considering these, as I hate the stock boards. Just not 100% sure yet, cause once installed theres no going back!

Once you go Airframe you NEVER go back. It will get to the point where you won't want to ride a sled without them. Order now, you will get them April 2013.
