QUESTION: What are you paying for SLED GAS??

From the weekend before last. 2 sleds on a poker rally Saturday for a total of 130 miles; 1.5hrs of riding time per sled. Fours sleds the following day out to the lake for hot dogs with some children, for a total of 180 miles; 1.5hrs of riding time per sled . 310 total miles for the weekend. Premium fuel cost of $315 plus $77 for oil. Average speed for the weekend was about 35 mph. 9 hrs of combined riding time. Left right from my place both days, so no fuel cost for my pickup.

So, for fuel and oil cost only,

$1.26 per mile per sled or....
$45.55 per hour of riding time per sled.

Ouch..

Revy right now is 2.23/L. Converted to US gal and dollar, is 6.50US/gal.

We’re averaging about $5.50 gal. for 87 octane in Northeastern CA. About $6.20- $6.50 gallon for diesel. Thanks Biden/Dems. If he wasn’t shutting down oil/gas leases right and left, maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. But He promised to get rid of oil for the U.S. when he campaigned, so we’re just reaping what was sown. I guess I should say thanks to the 81 million who voted for him.

At this point I have to seriously wonder, what will it cost by the time next season roll around?

I run race gas for years, so I am use to paying a lot for fuel anyway. But, that definitely is a struggle for people who don't budget for that cost. My change to E85 a few years ago turned out to be a great decision.
