Question on the proper mounting of skis.

So, I just mounted my 2 new Gen III skis.

With the sled on a lift, up in the air.

1 ski is perfectly FLAT, paralegal to the ground

The other ski is tip UP about 10-15 degrees.

So far as I can tell, both skis have the OEM rubber bushing installed in the same direction as it was in the OEM skis, and yet that is the only thing I can think of that might cause such a huge difference between the two skis.

Question is, which is better??

Neutral Flat or Tip Up.

With the OEM Yamaha Ski, the ski is perfectly neutral in the bushing with NO tension forward or rear, it just floats a bit allowing the ski to move a small amount up or down before it hits the bushing.

With the Simmons, the mounting bar is deeper inside of the bushing so it is always under tension, making the ski much more "rigid" in it's position. (Be it flat or tip up) neither of the skis wants to move at all because of the tension on the rubber bushing.

Called Simmons and couldn't get through to anyone.
So I pulled both skis back off the sled.
Reversed both of the rubber bushings and remounted them.

Now both skis are at the same angle, with both tips about 5 degrees up.

Looks pretty much like OEM.
