ok so just installed the engine in the sled and have read the info on fuel pump prime...can't find a battery to do as the thread says so...can't I just hand prime with putting some fuel in the cylinder spark plug holes?? I have done this with every other 2 stroke I have but not sure if this may damage anything or will it not work??? please let me no thanks CR

It will prime on it's own if you don't have a battery to do it, you will just have to pull it 5 or 6 times before she fires up.

I have yet to have to prime with 12v. pull it a few times... bleed the air at the schrader valve on the rail.... pull a few more times and it should fire up.

The battery shown in the thread is ONLY if you want to have permanent mount, onboard battery for this...

You can use any 12 volt battery and some jumper wires... makes starting a snap.

You can prime by pulling it over... depends on how dry the lines are and if there is still fuel in the rotor-cavity of the fuel pump as to how long you will be pulling.

On one sled we could not start it by pulling it over... others with fuel in the lines... 2-3 pulls and it fired.

Good luck.
