Sold my Pro this spring and not looking to buy again this year- boy..it was a close call at Haydays but I made it outta there with my wallet mostly intact- and considering renting this winter .. probably only be making one trip but usually try to make it a little longer to make up for it. What I'm wanting to know is are there anywhere to rent newer sleds in the steamboat area?..we had a blast there last year up at Hahns peak and buff pass and would like to make it back again . .but need to work out picking up a sled.. Not sure if I could rent in Laramie and travel with it down there?? .. Do the rental places allow keeping the sled out overnite?. .seems kinda silly if they didn't but I have no idea on that?? . .and what's a going rate, or a range in price, on renting a mtn. sled these days? ..and to protect myself..after seeing a couple horror stories out at Cooke and rentals coming in with scratches on the hood and panels from going thru the trees and the dude saying they were damaged now and needed to be payed for, what kind of insurance can a guy purchase to cover any damage on something you don't own. .if something minor. . or major happens??.. was talking with one of my riding buddies at HD about starting to put something together and figured I'd post up and see what the situation was . .thanks fellas. .

I can't help you on renting in that area. But for renting in general the past couple seasons. Pricing I have seen from $180 per day for a 800 PRO 155 to $280 for a 174 T3 Summit. The $180 had no insurance and the $280 was fully insured with a $500 deducible. You also pay for gas and oil. The pricing always got better the longer you rented for and if it was multiple day rentals we got to keep the sled overnight which was nice then we didn't have to be back by 5pm. Trailering them was not a problem to a different location just as long as we were back by the required time on the last day.

One thing we always did with our rentals was take a bunch of pictures all the way around it when we got it. Then if it came up we would know if the damage was there or not before hand. But the few places we rented were all very great to deal with both renting and returning the sleds.
