question on connecting fuel reg to brass nipples in carb boots

i heard connecting the fuel regulater line to the lines directly from the teed carb boots [all 4] brass nipples on inside of carb boots, reduces flameout on the trx,i assume you need to drill a hole into the boots to connect the lines to brass nipple?:confused:

this is what it looks like in the pics this is a vec but rx is similar if you get ahold of alpine they should have them all rigged up.it makes night & day diff pretty much eliminated flame out on my sled.:beer;

IAMVECTOR,thanks for the info and pics. checked my boots and i do have this setup,i have a red fuel pressure regulater in line with the stock aluminum one as you do, the hose connects into the red regulater and splits into the 4 carb boots ,running 1 blow off valve in the charge tube, i have bad flameouts w this set up?:confused:

You should think about doing a leakdown test, mine was real bad when I got to 50% leakdown
I put the MCX Apex BOV right into the plenum between 2 and 3 and it made a huge difference

sounds like a similar problem, alpine rx1, rods ,pistons etc, running 20 pounds plus boost, one bov in charge tube,lines into carbs from regulater,leak tested the system and still having flame out under throttle chop,installing a secound bov in the intercooler

did a leak test and pinched of the line off the turbo to wastegate acuater, should there be any loss when pressurized to 15 pds and the air supply is closed off,the system is slowly loosing air, sprayed down all lines ,fittings,boots etc and see no leaks?:confused:

found a leak on the back side of the impeller housing.where the back plate bolts to the housing,does anyone know if there is a seal there,bolts are tight,plugs are gapped .020''thanks
