my buddy just broke the pto end off of his 05 900,he can't afford a torque master,so how well are the polaris ones,I heard they come with a new clutch too. any help would be great.

The Polaris upgraded 900 crank kit part# is 2203617. It also has all the gaskets included. For 860.00 it's worth it. Now would be a good time to upgrade to the 06 pistons also. Remember to check the front motor mounts, hoses throttle cable etc before you place your order, he'll probably need something. When 94fordguy and I rebuilt mine I had to place another order and had to wait another 10 day's or so for parts.

yes we will surly replace the motor mounts,as I am sure it has the stock 05 in them, the throttel cable will be replaced with the one peicer as that is what I put on my 06 well worth it.

you do not haved to have them line bored it is just indy dan recommends it to get bearing tollerances right

This isn't necessarily true. It depends on whether your cases are machined correctly to start with. For some, it may be mandatory.

I sent three of the new cranks to Indy Dan this fall. For $500 he will true the cases and add another bearing to the pto end.Give him a call. He's a h3ll of a nice guy and will treat you right.

Was that price assembled??? (lower end)

Yes.I sent him the complete bottom ends and the new cranks. He disassembled, cleaned replaced oil-water pump seals, trued cases, added third bearing and machined new groove for lock ring on the new bearing, and re-assembled.He calls this his Torque Master 1.

I think he probably has the new cranks in stock.

I'm still pissed at myself for spending all that money on a TMIII for the 900 and the M8 is the sled that's actually gonna get the turbo LOL ....

That's hard to beat.

You do have to have your case halves line-bored for the Polaris crank right?

Just curious one of my ridin' buddies here in v-town was asking me about that for his 9 ....

Spot on:beer; Just like with the old 800s, the 900's cases were victims of poor quality control also, some are perfect, some are not, just depends.
