I have skidoo summit rev style not XP and got suspension out last night and today going after jack shaft. Does anyone know if i need to remove the entire chaincase?? also secondary clutch?? just didn't want to do extra work if someone knows a better trick.....Thanks for your help.
 
Rev track removal

You don't need to remove the entire chaincase. Drain the oil, remove just the cover, then the gears, tensioner and chain. Next, remove the snap ring which secures the bottom bearing.

Take the secondary clutch off. Then remove the speedo housing. Once the housing is removed, simply pull the plastic holder out of the end of the shaft (it is not threaded in there). Now remove the snap ring.

At this point the shaft can be moved back and forth to push the bottom bearing out via the chaincase. Slide the shaft towards the chaincase until the speedo side can drop out.

Have fun. It's really not bad.
