OK, so I made a rookie mistake and didn't drain the anti-freeze low enough before pulling the jugs and now have fluid in the lower unit. Motor is in the machine so no tipping it upside down. What do I need to do ... or will it blow out the exhaust ( and into the turbo :O )

thanks in advance,
MX

I sop mine up with paper towel. Just stuff it in there and turn crank.

help

I had the same thing happen to me the other day all I did was hook a 3/8 hose to the end of a squeeze bottle. then put the hose in the cases and squeezed the bottle and it sucked the coolent out. Took a few times but it worked then put a little oil down there hope this helps. And im going to pass on that m7 cylinder but thanks away.

It might be a good thing as I might need that cylinder now :)

OK , so I will just suck it out of there and what is left will blow out hopefully.

Kind of what I thought anyway but thought I would ask for other opinions. Thanks guy's,

Suck it out with the squeeze bottle, or I have a canister that has a 1/4" ID line out of 1 end and a 1" hole in the other end for a vacuum attachment. Suck it into the canister, then sop it up and dry with paper towels.

Yes, use some shop towels or heavy rags that wont tear and stay in the cases and you will be fine. Put some oil on the lower bearings through the hole in the rod and in your top end bearings when you re-assemble and let it idle for 3 or 4 minutes when you first start it and you will be fine.
