question for you guys with sled decks and sleds without reverse

Getting a sled down off the back with out reverse is not all that difficult once you get the system down. They best way I have found it to go behind and pull on the track rotating it and using the gears of the sled to move the sled back to just before the break over point, then get up on the deck in front of the sled and push it off down the ramp.

Or if you to tough enough to just lift the front of the sled up and walk it back that works to.

You really don't have to go back as far as one might think. Once the track breaks over the edge of the deck gravity will take over and down the ramp it will go.

Put down some Sno Stuff ski guids or like suggested before, unload from the side with a ramp.
Early 90's we had a sled deck on our truck, unloaded from the side back then

I would pull the sled back so it was just about to tip over the edge. Then I would get on the sled, push back with my feet, and slide down the ramp. This worked pretty good for me.

Back before the sleds had reverse we would try to unload when the truck was pointing uphill. Even if we had to unload, go park and then walk back to the sleds it was worth it.

Like sled69 stated... leave the ramp in, pull on the paddles of the track and rotate the track back pulling the sled back wards to the break over point. Install ramp on the back of the deck, climb on deck and lift front of sled with one hand and hold on to the outside ski guiding as you go. The ski will hit the ramp and you keep it straight and let go... if you have a person on the ground they can grab the bumper as it comes down and help it enough to clear the ramp at the bottom and ride it out of the way. My wife has no problem loading or unloading her sled, from a MC900, M1000 to her TNyto. It helps to have ski guides on the ramp.

I have ski guides on my ramp and it's only a small tug to get it back far enough to where i just let go down by herself. it's not bad at all.

It's not really that bad at all, I would just turn around, put my feet on the headache rack, sit on the front of the sled, lift and push with my legs then just give her a little shove off the back. But, the new sled with reverse is kinda nice! :)

Well, driving a sled off of a deck is a big mistake, unless you don't need a snowflap.

I just grab the front bumper, lift a bit and push the sled backwards down the ramp.

It can be a bit of a pain on cold days when the track is stiff in the morning and iced up from the previous days ride. And snow has melted off of your sled and re-froze on the deck during the night. It's dooable though; I do it with an Apex no reverse. Half the time a sled with reverse will just spin on an iced up deck anyways and we just push them off.

i jump on the deck and pick it up and walk. the new ford 6.4's have an option tail gate step wich is very nice for getting on and off the deck hehe. with a short deck and long 162' track its pretty easy to pick up the front end of a sled. we have reverse but dont use it on deck

all of our sleds have reverse but i hardly use it unless parked on a down slope. i just lift on the bumper and push back until the brak over point then just stand on the sled jerk back on the bars. once you do it a few times its no biggie.
